Location and Surroundings
Los Jardines de
Santa María Golf is located in the Elviria area
of the Marbella district close to unspoilt miles of sandy beaches.
It is situated west of Calahonda
and Cabopino, and located six miles east of Marbella town centre.

which provides an 18-hole, extremely challenging and remarkable course for golfers
that stands out from the crowd. It has been rated as one of the best on the coast because
the course is beautifully kept and breath-taking. It is so unique that it is one those
courses where you just cannot wait to return for another round. The country club also has
various outdoor facilities which include two hard tennis courts, a practice green and lawn bowling.

Elviria is a quiet neighbourhood,
with a thriving local commercial centre. Here you will find banks,

Once past the Santa María
golf course, the land rises more steeply and continues to the
top of Elviria mountain (Mount Elviria).
The abundance of facilities
and the climate makes Elviria ideal for sport lovers. It is located
in an area acknowledged as the golfing capital of Europe, and
boasts more activities than you could imagine.
Elviria beach is one of
the finest sandy beaches along the Marbella coastline, and stretches
for miles in both directions and within easy stroll from Los Jardines.
There are many local beach
cafe-bars and restaurants to suit all tastes, where you can sit
and enjoy a drink while watching the sunset or enjoy a fine meal
whilst taking in the breathtaking coastal scenery.
Las Chapas and Puerto Cabopino
From Elviria, head a minute
or so towards Malaga (on the A7) and the first junction
you arrive at is Las Chapas. Here you can drive down to the beach
side restaurants or take lunch/dinner in Rancho’s. ¡Muy
Another minute down the
A7 towards Malaga brings you to Puerto Cabopino. This charming,
tranquil marina, flanked by white sandy beaches is built in a
traditional white Spanish village style. In the summer months
there are water sports and a Dolphin Safari Boat operating out
of a small harbour of about a hundred boats ranging from dinghies
up to seventy-foot motor cruisers.
The marina has a wonderful
friendly atmosphere. There are many bars and restaurants, some
actually situated on the beach, where one can snack on tapas,
delicious locally caught fish or choose from the menu. In the
port itself there is a wide range of International Restaurants
- English, Spanish, Italian and Chinese. Also close by is an Old
Spanish Coaching Inn with a small par three golf course.
Marbella town is only ten
minutes away by taxi. This luxurious resort town is well known
as the favourite location for the rich and famous, as well as
more ordinary folk who are willing to pay just a little bit extra
for southern Spain's answer to St Tropez. Why not pop down to
Marbella and explore the old town, indulge in some shopping, or
take lunch on the sea front?
Just a little further around
the coast and you’ll arrive at the world renowned Puerto
Costa del Sol
The Costa del Sol stretches
from Nerja to Tarifa which is just past Gibraltar.
It prides itself on the amount
of sunshine, having its own micro-climate which boasts an average
of approx 320 days sunshine per year!
